Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Dr. Nieves-Quiñones pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Puerto Rico. He began his medical education at the Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine before transferring to the University of Puerto Rico to earn his medical degree. His post-graduate training included an internship at Yale University School of Medicine and a residency in neurology at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He further specialized in clinical neurophysiology through a fellowship at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. Since 1998, Dr. Nieves-Quiñones has been a valuable member of Neurology Associates, providing dedicated care to patients in Central Florida for over two decades. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he ensures effective communication with a diverse range of patients.
Since joining Neurology Associates, Dr. Nieves-Quiñones has been a sub-investigator in several clinical trials conducted at NAPA research.
Outside of work, Dr. Nieves-Quiñones likes to spend time with loved ones and engage in community service through volunteering. He has served on various church and school boards as well as holding many departmental leadership positions at Advent Health.
