Deena Rodney, a native of Miami, Florida, made the move to Orlando to pursue her education at the University of Central Florida. Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, she gained hands-on experience in sports medicine through an internship with UCF and earned her board certification while working with the Orlando Predators football team. Her nursing career took off at Adventist University, where she completed her Associates in Nursing. Deena then went on to work as a Registered Nurse at AdventHealth's quaternary hospital in Orlando, specializing in Neurology Units and providing care for numerous neurological patients. In addition to her clinical work, she also took on the role of nurse educator, creating and implementing training programs.
Deena furthered her education by obtaining her Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of South Florida.
With over a decade of experience as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Neurology, Deena has a particular passion for treating patients with Myasthenia Gravis and those dealing with migraines. She actively involves herself in support programs with The Myasthenia Gravis Foundation and in 2020, she received her Migraine Specialty Certification and is now associated with the National Migraine Association. Deena also has a keen interest in integrating eastern and western medicine practices and is currently broadening her knowledge in herbal medicine. During her free time, Deena indulges in her hobbies of traveling, practicing yoga, being in nature, engaging in crafts, and spending quality time with her rescue dog Chichi, as well as her loved ones.
